What is The NewNow?

In 2018 Virgin Unite and a circle of visionary investors, set out on a mission to build a community of extraordinary rising leaders, bound together by a common purpose; to help accelerate each other’s work, raise up the voice of young changemakers, and inspire other young leaders to grow their impact.

The NewNow was formed – helping accelerate the work of rising leaders tackling the world’s toughest challenges through:

  • Community and peer-support, enabling learning & emotional support.

  • New networks & platforms to grow their influence and amplify their voices in critical forums.

  • Tailored support and access to resources to help accelerate their work and grow their impact.

These founding leaders include:

  • Abdalaziz Alhamza – citizen journalist and human rights activist

  • Farwiza Farhan – environmental activist

  • Roya Mahboob – tech entrepreneur and women’s rights activist

  • Victor Ochen – peace activist and youth advocate

What does The NewNow do?

The NewNow seeks to create impact across the following areas:

Leadership Impact: support and nurture our leaders long-term to achieve their goals, develop their skills, build their profiles and networks, and increase their wider influence on the challenges they are passionate about solving.

Systemic Impact: give rising leaders a voice at the table and work with them to remove the barriers or perceptions which prevent the needs of future generations from being given priority and achieving adequate representation, and influence for future generations at an institutional level.

Generational Impact: inspire and enable future generations of changemakers to grow their impact, influence change, and become leaders in their communities and beyond.
