The Branson Centre of Entrepreneurship Caribbean is based in Kingston, Jamaica, and offers acceleration for growth-stage entrepreneurs.
The centre opened its doors in 2011 as a joint initiative of Virgin Unite and Virgin Atlantic Holidays. Virgin Unite remains a major funder, supporting the centre’s training and mentoring programmes.
The Branson Centre recruits entrepreneurs who are passionate about people, planet and profit, and who act as socially-minded changemakers in their local, Caribbean-based communities.
The Branson Centre works closely with its entrepreneurs, forming meaningful relationships and connections so to help businesses develop and networks grow.
What does the Branson Centre of Entrepreneurship do?
The Branson Centre Caribbean offers acceleration for growth-stage entrepreneurs. It supports the development of entrepreneurs through its unique combination of three core activities:
Training entrepreneurs to structure their business for growth
Helping entrepreneurs overcome hurdles and avoid making mistakes through our mentorship programme
Preparing entrepreneurs to capitalise on investment opportunities
The team has a laser-sharp focus on addressing the unique challenges of entrepreneurship in the Caribbean and works diligently to empower entrepreneurs to bolster their businesses and to become globally competitive and contribute to the region’s social, cultural, environmental and economic development.
