Haylie Gordon

Virgin Unite US Trustee

Haylie joined Virgin in 2015 and has focused on operations and project management across several Virgin Group properties.

Initially joining VML to focus on property owned by the family, Haylie spent 2016 and 2017 based between the UK and BVI, managing the completion of construction on Moskito Island and supporting the island team as well as the island’s homeowners.

In 2017 Haylie was seconded to Virgin Limited Edition to manage the operational opening of Moskito Island, including managing the project, recruitment of a senior team and preparing for the opening of six estates by 2020. In the aftermath of Hurricane Irma, Haylie was involved in the relief effort as well as supporting Unite BVI with the re-build of the Bregado Flax Education Centre on Virgin Gorda.

Haylie enjoys the challenges presented by complex projects and leans heavily on her organisational skills as well as her unique combination of experience in law, finance, property and retail sectors.

Before joining Virgin, Haylie worked as a chief of staff and project manager for CIMIC based in Sydney and in the finance and legal functions at McArthurGlen Designer Outlets in London. In these roles Haylie was able to build on her passion for project management (including transformation projects) and building and developing teams. Haylie started her career in law and trained as a solicitor with Allen & Overy LLP and practised as a commercial real estate solicitor for 5 years before moving to in-house roles.

Haylie enjoys mentoring with a focus on training and development. In 2018 Haylie helped establish the first BVI Hospitality pop up school and during her time in Sydney volunteered as business development manager for the Australian Youth Mentoring Network. Other interests include swimming and pilates to keep up with her very active one-year old daughter.
